This software allows you to easily switch HYSYS recycle tolerance settings by one click. It is recommended that you use "Speed" setting to run your optimization and use "Final" setting to finalize your HYSYS simulation.
The problem
When you are running a large HYSYS file with a lot of recycles, you may find the recycles take the longest time to converge, especially you have a very tight recycle tolerance. During your optimization process, you may want to set a higher tolerance so that you can quickly get a general idea about the result. However, after you are satisfied with the result, you may want to have a very tight recycle tolerance to finalize your HYSYS simulation. You can do it manually and it will work. But engineers are designed to do something more creative, isn't it?
The solution
The attached excel program will allow to switch HYSYS tolerance from a high tolerance setting to low tolerance setting or vise-versa with one click. It is recommended that you use "Speed" setting to run your optimization and use "Final" setting to finalize your HYSY simulation.
