One Minute Process Engineering: Generate Expander Datasheets from HYSYS

It is so much fun for being a process engineer to do all kinds of magic calculation in AspenTech HYSYS. But when it comes to generate process data sheet specification, it is so so frustrating. If you have the same experience as I do, you are in the right place.

Another Excel spreadsheet program was developed by Guofu Chen using VBA to generate expanders' data sheets in one minute.

Simply open your AspenTech HYSYS calculation file and the Excel file, click "Generate DataSheet" button and it pops out a window and you can choose which expander you want to include in the specification. 

We are going to include "TPL1", "TPL3" and "TPL4", choose the corresponding flowsheet and expander, and output the data in Metric Units and then click "Submit". The expander data sheet is created in less a second. You might want to change to "English" unit as well. Select "English" and you get a nice data sheet in English unit instantly.
