As a process engineer, you've finished the most challenging process calculation in Aspen HYSYS, and now it's time to generate process data sheet specification. Are you excited about copying data one by one from HYSYS to Excel? If not, then you are in the right place.
An Excel spreadsheet program was developed by Guofu Chen using VBA to generate TEMA data sheets for shell and tube heat exchangers in one minute.
Open your HYSYS calculation and the TEMA datasheet generator excel file, simply click "Generate TEMA" button and then select "Import from HYSYS". Then a windows pops out and it allows you to choose the flow sheet, the exchanger and the output units. In the flow sheet of "TPL1", we have "BrineHeater", "STVaporizer" and "recuperator". Let's select flow sheet of "TPL1" and exhcanger of "BrineHeater" and Units of "English" and then click "Submit". Instantly the TEMA data sheet is generated. You might want to create TEMA data sheet for other heat exchangers as well. Simply click "Generate TEMA" and select "TPL3", "Recup" and "Metric" and a new data sheet is generated in less a second.
